Professional capable of applying and integrating in an ethical and critical manner the fundamental principles of Science and Engineering for the operation, design, optimization and innovation of transformation, conservation, and development processes of new food products with quality standards in a national, international, and sustainable environment.




Program´s educational objectives (PEOs)

Food Engineering educational program, offered by the UASLP (Western Zone campus), is designed in such a way the students, through solid comprehensive training, can achieve their professional goals so that after a few years after graduation they are able to:

Develop industrial projects and/or create his/her own company with responsibility and professional ethics, aware of the importance of lifelong learning.

Direct engineering processes optimizing financial, technological, material, human resources and respecting the environment.

Design and/or apply new technologies for products and processes development in the food industry, in accordance with consumer trends and regulations.

Apply, generate, and disseminate knowledge for the benefit of the social and productive sector.

Work effectively in collaboration with professionals from other disciplines in problem solving.
