The Bachelor in Chemistry (LQ in Spanish) has an integral formation in the area of chemistry and related fields: analytical, organic, environmental, mining and metallurgical, industrial microbiology, forensic, and inorganic that allows them to apply their abilities and expertise, promoting their performance at the chemical industry, chemical analysis services, graduate school or at small scientific research groups, working in national or international multidisciplinary environments, with a high compromise in ethics, serving the society and protecting the environment.
At the industrial sector, the graduate in Bachelor in Chemistry is the expert in chemical analysis, which allows assessing the quality assurance of both raw materials and finished product, the optimal performance of the stages of a process, and the control of pollutant emissions. The LQ is the specialist in the synthesis of chemicals oriented to satisfy the needs of people, businesses or governments, which implies the generation of a plethora of products such as: new pharmaceutical drugs, cosmetics, polymers, and specific chemical precursors.
The LQ manages financial and material resources of a laboratory, and laboratory personnel to optimize and promote the performance of chemical laboratories: private, customs, academy or research, choosing the adequate instruments and equipments for analysis, synthesis and research with state-of-the-art technology, entrepreneurship, and ability to innovate, contributing to the best use of natural and human resources.
